As the Bermuda affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate – the world’s only luxury real estate network owned by a fine art auction house —   we send our congratulations to Christie’s New York for its amazing, record-breaking accomplishments this week. Not only did the 250+year-old auction house make history on November 15th with its $450 million sale of Leonardo da Vinci’s 500-year old mystical masterpiece Salvator Mundi ( a new auction record for any work of art ever sold at auction), but this achievement caps a brilliant $1.4 billion-week where 10 sales surpassed $10 million, eight sales surpass $20 million, and  three surpassed $50 million. Vincent van Gogh’s Laboureur dans un champ, which Christie’s describes as “a richly painted view from the artist’s window at the asylum at Saint-Remy” was a special highlight of the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale on November 13th and sold at over $81 million.

Fine art and fine homes are a natural pairing. Sinclair Realty is proud and privledged to represent Christie’s and its clients in Bermuda since 1995.
